Fustini’s to Celebrate One-Year Anniversary on July 25
By Maui Now Staff
Fustini’s Oils & Vinegars at The Shops at Wailea will host a party on Saturday, July 25, from 3 to 6 p.m. to celebrate the one-year anniversary of its Maui store and tasting room.
The public is invited to attend the free event, which will feature music by Mele ‘Ukulele, appetizers dressed with Fustini’s oils and vinegars, and door prizes.
Malama Family Recovery Center will receive 10% of the day’s proceeds. The local nonprofit is Maui’s only women-specific substance abuse/addiction treatment center and the only facility on the island
where children can live with their mothers during the recovery process.
“We are excited to share this special occasion with the Maui community,” Fustini’s Store Manager Jill Sullivan said. “Guests will enjoy some of our most popular olive oil and balsamic vinegar pairings, such as our 18 year Balsamic and Tuscan Olive Oil. They will also learn how to use them at home for flavorful and nutritional salad dressings, marinades and sauces. With nearly 800 possible combinations, there truly is something for everyone.”
Since opening just last summer, Fustini’s has received the support of notable local Maui restaurants, such as Mama’s Fish House, Gannon’s,
Hali‘imaile General Store and Matteo’s.
“Since we are celebrating our ‘first birthday’ here on Maui, anyone who brings a wrapped baby present to donate to Malama will receive a free gift with the purchase of a bottle of oil or vinegar,” said Jim Milligan, Fustini’s owner and founder.
“We are honored and tremendously grateful to Fustini’s for including us in this celebration,” said Malama Clinical Director Dr. Lisa Ponichtera. “Funds raised will help us provide life-saving services to women and their children so families can live safe, independent and healthy lives.”
Other exciting developments at the store include the new Fustini’s Pantry, with products that complement oils and vinegars, including the new line of Fustini’s private-label tapenades, spreads and jams—as well as other items such as pasta, honeys and salts.
Fustini’s cookbook series has grown to five, each with its own focus, offering scores of ideas and inspiration.
Fustini’s will validate parking for all attendees.
