Complementary Tasting of New Releases Held at Re-Branded MauiWine
By Maui Now Staff
At the ripe old age of 41, Tedeschi Vineyards is now known as MauiWine. And along with a new name, come new releases.
Join them tomorrow, Sunday August 2, for a “sneak peek and taste” of the newly released 2014 chenin blanc, 2014 viognier and 2013 syrah wines.
“There is a story about Maui in each of our wines,” said Paula Hegele, president of MauiWine. “Every raindrop, ray of light, wind and temperature change is imbedded into each wine grown here, wine is a reflection of place.”
Sunday’s tasting is complimentary to persons 21 years of age or older at the King’s Cottage, the tasting room of MauiWine, and this is the only day the public will get a chance to imbibe these particular vintages (grown 100 percent on MauiWine’s Ulupalakua vineyards) for free.
After Sunday, they will only be available for purchase when they are released later this year.
MauiWine is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. offering complimentary tours and tastings (of wines that are not the three listed above, as noted) are daily at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. inside the King’s Cottage, the former retreat of King David Kalakaua in the late 1800s.
