55,000 Juror Questionnaires Mailed Out in Maui County
By Maui Now Staff
Beginning this week, an estimated 55,000 juror questionnaires were mailed out on Maui.
The surveys were sent to individuals who have a Hawaiʻi state driver’s license or are registered to vote in Hawaiʻi.
The judiciary began sending the questionnaires yesterday to an estimated 235,000 individuals across the state.
The questionnaires are used to help select potential jurors who may be eligible to serve in 2016.
Recipients have 10 days to complete and return the questionnaire to the Jury Pool Office, or face possible penalties.
To be eligible to serve as a juror, you must be at least 18 years old, a citizen of the United States, a resident of Hawaiʻi, and able to read and understand English.
