Local Condiment Company Seeks Votes for Martha Stewart Contest

Two Chicks In A Hammock, co-owed by Kat Crosby and Michelle Jones, has released two announcements: the Maui company’s chili pepper water is now available in 91 stores statewide, and the “Two Chicks” are finalists in the 2015 Martha Stewart American Made Awards contest.
Backyard Juice Hawaiian Chili Pepper Water can now be found statewide at Foodland, Tamura’s, Whole Foods, Down to Earth, and soon, Safeway.
Backyard Juice is a twist on co-owner Crosby’s grandmother’s shoyu-style recipe.
The company make an original juice and a gluten- and preservative-free version.

Two Chicks In A Hammock are seeking votes as finalists in Martha Stewart’s American Made Awards contest. The contest honors US businesses that use local ingredients, are handmade and make a difference in their communities.
“It’s pretty awesome a small Maui company was chosen by Martha and her 16 judges to be a finalist,” said Jones.
The company with the most votes will win the Audience Choice Award and fly to New York and receive $10,000. The Audience Choice Award winner will also be sold on Stewart’s website.
The voting period is Sept. 21 through Oct. 21.

Supporters can vote up to six times a day starting Sept. 21.
