Attendance at the 93rd Maui Fair is up so far after preliminary gate totals were tallied from opening night on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2014.

Maui Fair Managing Director Sherri Grimes said attendance for the first night of the fair was up from last year, but the exact totals were not immediately available.

Grimes said food court numbers were also up, positive news for the many organizations that are using the facility as a fundraiser.  “Overall, the weather was gorgeous and there were good reviews on the new presentation of our Food & Festival Village, with fair goers saying it was spacious and inviting,” she said.
