Special Slack Key Show 12th Anniversary Celebration, Oct. 14

A celebration to mark the 12th Anniversary of George Kahumoku Jr’s Slack Key Show – Masters of Hawaiian Music, takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Nāpili Kai Beach Resort Pavilion in West Maui.

This special showcase event will feature Kahumoku playing his signature 12-string guitar, along with grand master of slack key Led Kaʻapana, and falsetto legend Richard Hoʻopiʻi.

These three artists toured the mainland last year as The Hawaiian Masters Tour. Each will perform a solo set and then will join in a kanikapila session after intermission.

Slack Key Show ʻohana, guitarist, Sterling Seaton, and hula dancer, Wainani Kealoha will also be performing.

A limited number of VIP tickets are now available for $100 (plus applicable fees).  VIP tickets include admission to an exclusive private party from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m; a flower lei; complimentary pūpū and wine; access to George, Led and Richard at the party and photo opportunities with them; an exclusive complimentary CD; and early admittance to the pavilion at 6:30 p.m. (before the general public enters at 6:45 p.m.).

All patrons will be served complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and anniversary cake in the pavilion. A cash bar will open in the pavilion from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. General admission, or a Dinner/Show Package is also available, featuring a three-course dinner at the Sea House Restaurant at 5 p.m., and admission to the concert pavilion at 6:45 p.m.
