The Maui Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect sought for his alleged involvement in a vehicle theft and arson incident.

Police say a white 2000 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was stolen from a Kīhei car dealership.

At around 6 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, police say a lone male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black basketball shorts parked the stolen truck within the front parking lot of the Wailuku Police Station.  Police say the suspect proceeded to set the interior of the truck on fire.

The public may also call Detective Gregg Katayama at the Wailuku Criminal Investigation Division office at (808) 244-6422 (Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
