The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea announced the planned launch of a Kamaʻāina Season for island residents, that will include special rates from Nov. 28 to Dec. 19, 2015.

Hotel executives say the rates for the promotion are the lowest kamaʻāina rates of the year, starting at $299, and feature no resort fee.

Guests who plan a stay will have access to a schedule of complimentary activities for the resort’s first ever “Kamaʻāina Season.” Additional offers will be extended throughout the property as well.

“For many who live here in Hawaiʻi, the holidays represent the busiest time of the year. Almost all residents are inundated with work responsibilities,” said General Manager Jean Claude Wietzel in a company announcement. “It gives us great pleasure to open our doors to our extended ʻohana during the pre-holiday rush, so they can remember exactly why they live here,” said Wietzel.

As part of the Kamaʻāina Season, the resort has designed complimentary activities for travelers of all ages and interests including:

  • Outrigger/paddling/snorkeling/scuba: Adventurous guests are invited to join the resort’s outrigger team for a morning of paddling, snorkel the Wailea reef, or try out an introduction to scuba diving class.
  • Fitness/yoga: Fitness enthusiasts can reserve a tennis court or join a sunrise yoga class.
  • Cabanas: And those looking to perfect the fine art of doing nothing at all can relax in one of the resort’s 58 cabanas, while being pampered with amenities, spritzes and nibbles from the resort’s award-winning culinary team.
  • Keiki activities: There are a host of complimentary offerings for the resort’s littlest guests. When not enjoying the keiki pool, guests age 5 to 12 years will be entertained by Kids for All Seasons activities like gecko hunting and tide pool exploration.

Special kamaʻāina pricing will also be offered at the resort’s three restaurants, salon, spa, and retail boutiques. Hawaiʻi residents will be treated to 2-for-1 entrees at Ferraro’s Bar e Ristorante as well as Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, and 20% off their entire bill at DUO Steak and Seafood.

The Salon is offering $55 signature pedicures or blowouts, while The Spa is extending $129 50-minute massages or anti-aging facials. Cabana and 22 Knots boutiques will discount select merchandise by 40-60%.

Hawaiian residents can reserve rooms during “Kamaʻāina Season” through their travel consultant, by contacting the resort directly at (808) 874-8000, or visiting the resort’s website for more information. Hawaiʻi state identification is required.

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is recognized as Travel + Leisure’s “No. 1 Hawaiian Resort” and is the island’s first and only Forbes Five Star resort.
