Festive Family-Friendly Events at Sheraton Maui

Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Kāʻanapali is spreading holiday cheer to guests and residents throughout the month of December.

“The holidays are a cherished time at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa,” explains General Manager Tetsuji Yamazaki. “We enjoy celebrating throughout the month with our guests and associates.”

Here’s a look at what’s happening:

• Gingerbread Villages

On Saturday, December 12, Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa welcomes the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui organization to create a whimsical gingerbread village, complete with all the holiday trimmings. The hotel’s longstanding tradition continues on December 16 with a special gingerbread village lighting reception, which features caroling by the Sacred Hearts School Choir. The gingerbread lighting reception and caroling begin at 6:00 pm in the lobby. The Gingerbread Village will remain lit each evening for viewing through December 31.

• Breakfast with Santa

Breakfast with Santa at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa takes place on Christmas Eve morning, December 24, at Black Rock Kitchen during the daily breakfast buffet. Santa will make a special appearance, and keiki will have the opportunity to tell Santa their last-minute Christmas wishes.

• Christmas Eve Tasting Menu

Indulge in Sheraton Maui’s special Christmas Eve tasting menu, available at Black Rock Kitchen from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on December 24. The special chef’s tasting menu features ahi carpaccio, lemongrass corn velouté with chili spiced shrimp, seared filet with kabocha puree, butter-poached lobster with black truffle risotto and a hazelnut torte.  It costs $85 per person, plus tax & gratuity. • Christmas Day Dinner Buffet

The resort invites Maui to celebrate Christmas with family and friends at Black Rock Kitchen on Friday, December 25 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Christmas Day Dinner Buffet includes seasonal salads, seafood and sushi stations and herb-crusted prime rib of beef carving station.  Chef’s signature dishes include steamed Mahi-mahi, baked ham glazed with passionfruit mustard, Christmas turkey and more, along with sumptuous holiday pastries and desserts. • New Year’s Eve Tasting Dinner at Black Rock Kitchen

Hauʻoli Makahiki Hou! Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa is the place to ring in 2016, with a celebration full of friends and aloha on December 31. It begins with a New Year’s Eve tasting menu at Black Rock Kitchen. Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa’s Chef de Cuisine Jeffrey Rayno has created an exquisite five- course menu, featuring the freshest seafood paired with locally grown ingredients. There will be two seatings, with the first seating times at 5:30 and 6 p.m. at a cost of $150 per person.  The second seating times at 8, 8:30 and 9 p.m. are priced at $250 per person, and include a glass of champagne, party favors and entry into the New Year’s Eve White Party in the Sheraton Maui ballroom. • New Year’s Eve White Party at Sheraton Maui’s Ballroom

Ring in 2016 at the hottest party on the west side, with five DJs throughout the evening, incredible light shows and the best mix of party people on the planet. There will also be a surprise at midnight that Sheraton says will “blow your mind!” Doors will open at 9 p.m., with the party going until 3 a.m. Tickets are $30 pre-sale and $40 at the door, and can be purchased on Sheraton Maui’s website here.
