Hawaiian Airlines Applauds Increased Access to Tokyo
Hawaiian Airlines congratulates the US government on reaching an agreement with the government of Japan for expanded access to Haneda International Airport in Tokyo.
The aviation agreement finalized today in Tokyo allows US air carriers to fly into and out of Haneda during daylight hours, and also paves the way for two additional slot pairs—one daytime and one nighttime, between Haneda and US cities.
“As the premier carrier between Tokyo and Honolulu, we are well acquainted with the importance of strengthening open skies agreements between Japan and the United States,” said Mark Dunkerley, president and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines. “This accord reached will mean increased traffic from Tokyo to points in the United States, which in turn creates American jobs and improves convenience and choice for air travelers.”
Hawaiian Airlines, which flies daily between Haneda and Honolulu International Airport, will launch daily service between Honolulu and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport in July.
