Surveillance Image Released of Alleged Theft Suspect

Maui Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the female in the attached photo. Police say the individual is allegedly responsible for a theft incident in Wailea reported on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016.

Police say the theft was reported between 12:33 p.m. and 12:55 p.m. at the ILORI optical store at the Shops at Wailea.

According to police reports, the female allegedly grabbed a pair of sunglasses from the shelf and fled the store without paying. Police say the merchandise is valued in excess of $400.

The female is described as approximately 30 years old. She is approximately 5’4” tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top, black stretch workout pants, black running shoes and a baseball hat with a design of the Hawaiian Islands.

Police say she also had a strong accent.
