Maui Scores Multiple No. 1 Readers’ Choice Awards

Maui scored big in Hawaii Magazine’s 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards for 2016.

In addition to the awards garnered by Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel and sister property The Plantation Inn, Kā‘anapali Beach was awarded “No. 1 Best Beach for Hanging Around;” Lahaina was awarded “No. 1 Best City or Town;” and Maui was awarded “No. 1 Best Island.”

Readers of Hawaii Magazine voted Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel the “Number One Hotel with the Best Aloha Spirit” for the third year in a row, and the “Number One Best Budget Hotel” for the fourth year in a row.

Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel’s award-winning Sunday Champagne Brunch ranked No. 2 on the list for “Best Breakfast or Brunch Buffet.”

In addition, Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel was ranked No. 1 for “Best Hotel or Resort Staff.”

The Plantation Inn, located in the historic district of Lahaina, was voted “Number Three Best Bed & Breakfast or Inn.”

The Hawaii Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards are a result of an extensive reader survey conducted by the magazine. Thousands of mainland US, Hawai‘i and international readers participated in the 98-category survey, rating everything from the best Hawaiian hotels and resorts, bed-and-breakfasts and inns, beaches and activities, to the best places to eat, scenic road trips, fashion designers and coastlines in Hawaii. Hawaii Magazine tallied the picks of more than 100,000 surveys to arrive at the final award-winner list.
