7th Annual Water Conservation Poster Contest Winners
A total of 827 student entries were submitted to the Maui Department of Water Supply’s 7th Annual Water Conservation Poster Contest
The goal of the contest was to educate Maui’s youth on the importance of water conservation and to encourage them to take an active role in ensuring the sustainability of our Maui’s water supply. This year’s theme was “By Water All Things Find Life”.

The contest entries were evaluated based on its water conservation message, originality, visual effectiveness, neatness and creativity.
Winners and honorable mention recipients in all categories will receive prizes related to the conservation of water and will be honored in the Mayor’s office in May.
Winning entries will also be featured in the 2017 DWS Water Conservation Calendar, will be displayed in the Department of Water Supply on the 5th floor of the County Building for one year beginning May, and will be available for viewing at the end of May on the County of Maui website at www.mauicounty.gov/water.
The three-judge panel was composed of Flo Bahr, Substitute Teacher; Liz Foote, Executive Director of Project S.E.A.-Link and Campaign Manager of West Maui Kumuwai; and Robert DeRobles, Planner with Maui County Department of Water Supply.
