Popular “Buy Back the Beach” Lu’au Attracts Maui’s Top Chefs and Musicians

If you’ve ever marveled in the beauty of Maui’s Waihe’e Preserve, Ulupalakua Ranch, or Kipahulu Landing, you have Maui Coastal Land Trust to thank. These are just a few of the stunning Maui landscapes this organization has protected, allowing generations to come to experience their unique natural habitats.
On January 29th, Maui Coastal Land Trust will be celebrating its ten-year anniversary and you are invited to celebrate. Their 10th Annual “Buy Back the Beach” Benefit Lu’au takes place at the Old Lahaina Lu’au and features mouth-watering culinary delights by some of West Maui’s top chefs.
Host chefs Craig Masuda & Nacho Perez welcome Ben Klein of Mala Ocean Tavern, James McDonald of Pacific’O, Peter Merriman of Merriman’s Kapalua, Ivan Park of Cane and Taro, Tom Muromoto of the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, and Sheldon Simeon of Star Noodle.
Emcees Tony Takitani and Kathy Collins will lead the “Adventures for the ‘Aina” live auction featuring a selection of custom island experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
Special musical guests Barry Flanagan and Eric Gilliom will jump start the dance party joined by the Old Lahaina Lu’au dancers.
Tickets for this event our $150 per person or $1200 for a table of eight. Proceeds go towards Maui Coastal Land Trust and their efforts to protect Maui’s unique and stunning natural landscapes.
