Crime Stoppers: Two Wanted for Alleged Theft in Wailea
Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying two individuals wanted for their alleged involvement in the theft of $580 worth of merchandise from a store at The Shops at Wailea.
The incident was reported on the evening of April 10, 2016.
Crime Stoppers reports that an adult male and female were observed entering an open business located within the Shops of Wailea. Once within, the couple was greeted by the stores employee.
According to Crime Stoppers, the couple allegedly separated with the male engaging the employee towards the back of the store, while the female selected items from different display shelves valued at about $580.00 dollars.
Crime Stoppers reports that the female allegedly concealed the items in a brown colored shopping bag she was carrying.
The female then rejoined the male at the rear cash register area and after a short conversation with the employee, both allegedly left the business without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.
Video surveillance captured the reported actions.
Both suspects are described as between the ages of 35-45. The male was described as balding, tall with a thin build, and had tattoos on his forearms and rear calf. The female had shoulder length dark hair with a medium build.
