North: Wave heights are expected to be around knee/waist high for spots catching the small northwest swell. Trade swell around Hana gets up to waist/chest high with sets up to shoulder high.

West: Surf is chest/head high and up to overhead today out of the southwest with a decrease through the day. Spots from Kihei to around Olowalu will be much smaller due to shadowing from the other islands.

South: Surf is chest/head high today with the best breaks getting overhead on the sets from time to time with a decrease through the day.

Screen Shot 2016-06-12 at 9.06.43 PMOur current south-southwest swell is expected to slowly decrease through the week. A reinforcement out of the south is expected to keep the swell from fading too quickly.

A week northwest swell is expected to filter in. This swell energy will ease and drop out on Tuesday. Otherwise, quiet in the North Pacific at this time with nothing of note generating swell energy for the foreseeable future.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
