ʻĪao Valley 10K, July 16
The Valley Isle Road Runners host the annual ʻĪao Valley 10K run on Saturday July 16, 2016 at 7:30 a.m.
The run will start from the Wailuku Municipal Parking lot located off Vineyard Street. Runners will ascend up Vineyard Street to Main Street connecting onto ʻĪao Valley Road, turning around at the ʻĪao Valley State parking lot, and enjoy the long downhill decent back to Wailuku.
“This 10K has been a favorite for years and provides runners with a nice challenge and some incredible scenery along the way,” said Jim Lynch, Vice President of Valley Isle Road Runners.
Awards will be given to the overall top three men and women finishers along with the top three finishers in designated age divisions.
Cost is $25 for Valley Isle Road Runner members, $35 for non-members, and $45 for registration the morning of the event. Registration includes a T-Shirt and bag.
Runners can register on-line now at VIRR.COM. Packet pickup and registration will be held on July 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Request Music located at 10 North Market Street in Wailuku.
Valley Isle Road Runners is a non-profit organization and all proceeds from races, sponsorships, and membership fees are used to support and develop community programs and events that the VIRR produces throughout the year, including youth events and sports scholarships.
