Trade Swell Picks up Through Work Week

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Friday for the Pailolo and ʻAlenuihāhā channels as well as Māʻalaea Bay for northeast to east winds up to 25 knots or more and seas of 5 to 8 feet.

Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around knee/waist/chest high.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today. The best breaks could get up to tummy/chest high on the sets out of the south-southwest.
South: Surf is around waist high today. The best breaks could get up to tummy/chest high on the sets.
Only small southerly pulses are expected this week. A new southerly swell is expected for around July 31st and into the first week of August.
Trade swell is expected to increase over the next couple of days with bigger conditions expected Thursday and Friday.
Frank & Georgette are not likely to send significant swell to the Hawaiian Islands.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
