Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around waist/chest high, maybe bigger on the sets for spots around Hana up to shoulder or head high.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today. The best breaks could get up to knee/waist high on the sets out of the south-southwest.
South: Surf is around knee/waist high today. The best breaks could be a bit bigger from time to time.
Our current southerly pulse fades out through the weekend. A small southwest swell will fill in bringing just knee to waist high waves to the best exposures. We may see better swells stacking up for the second week of August out of the South Pacific.
Trade swell will fluctuate a bit over the next couple of days. Nothing major expected out of the North or East Pacific through the first week of August.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
