West Maui Hospital to Break Ground Aug. 15

A groundbreaking for the long-awaited West Maui Hospital will be held on the project site on Monday, Aug. 15, 2016.
The project is located on Kakaʻalaneo Drive just mauka of Honoapiʻilani Highway and below the Kāʻanapali Coffee Farms community.
The West Maui Hospital Foundation announced that the target date for the hospital’s opening is late 2018.

The facility will include a 25-bed critical access hospital facility, which will house a 24-hour emergency room.
The WMHMC will also include a 40-bed skilled nursing facility, 40-unit assisted living facility, two medical office buildings, and a future drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.
The foundation’s mission is to bring medical care to the West Side of Maui by late 2018.
