Q: I live near Peahi forest and I have seen an increase in rubbish there recently—couches, mattresses, tires, old engine parts and household trash. It’s heartbreaking to see.

Is there someone I can call about having the rubbish removed?

Mahalo. I appreciate any help in this matter.

A: Yes, anyone who notices large amounts of litter or illegal dumping should contact Malama Maui Nui (formerly Community Work Day) at 877-2524 or [email protected].
