Early Morning Brush Fire Near Pāʻia Youth Center

Maui firefighters responded to a small brush fire that near the Pāʻia Youth Center, off of the Hāna Highway early Sunday morning.
The incident was reported at 4:27 a.m. on Sunday, Aug.14, 2016.
Pāʻia firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a 20 x 20 foot brush fire burning on the Kahului side of the Pāʻia Youth Center building.
Fire officials say crews quickly brought it under control and called the fire extinguished at 4:55 a.m.

The cause of the fire was undetermined and there was no damage to the building.
A water tanker from Kahului also responded.
