TRAFFIC ADVISORY MAALAEA: 2 P.M. 8/15/16,

We have a report of a two vehicle accident in Māʻalaea on the Honoapiʻilani Hwy just before the “Pali” section of the highway near Mile 7.

Traffic is backed up and slow moving in both directions.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and expect delays in the area.

Tow services have been dispatched and crews are working to clear the highway of debris.

At 2:35 p.m., motorists on scene told Maui Now that they had been at a standstill for about 20 minutes.
