Seascape Mā‘alaea Offers Dinner & Happy Hour

“We want everyone who walks through our doors to enter as guests and leave as family.”

That’s the vision at Seascape Mā’alaea Restaurant, which recently began offering dinner service between 5 and 8 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. It also offers Pau Hāna Hour on those nights from 5 to 7 p.m. with draft beer and wine specials.

“For some time, our regular guests have been asking for dinner service,” explains James Morrison, director of food and beverage for Maui Ocean Center. “We felt that this service was needed in the Mā`alaea area. We also wanted to provide our guests with great food at an affordable price.”

The island-inspired dinner menu features many locally-grown ingredients, including favorites like macadamia nut Mahi-mahi, poached lobster tail, 100% wild-caught blue crab cakes and Maui onion lamb chops.

“We try to provide something for everyone’s tastes on the menu,” says Morrison. “We aim to be diverse, healthy, sustainable, and environmentally-friendly.”

Seascape has been recognized as a Platinum-Certified “Ocean Friendly Restaurant,” reflecting its longtime dedication to sustainability by taking steps like reducing the use of single-use plastics.

The restaurant remains open for lunch daily between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., with offerings such as the Ali’i burger with goat cheese, Hāmakua mushrooms and signature aioli; Ahi BLT with Togarashi-seasoned Ahi steak, applewood-smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce and fried onions; and 5-spiced teriyaki tofu.

Seascape offers kāma’aina, military and Maui Ocean Center discounts every day. The public is welcome; you don’t need aquarium admission to dine. People can access the restaurant from either inside Maui Ocean Center, or from the Mā’alaea Harbor Shops.
