Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be chest/head high today. Overhead or more at the best winter magnets.
West: Surf is waist high today or less. Wrap from the northwest will also increase wave heights for exposed breaks.
South: Surf is waist high today or less.
A new shot of north-northwest swell is expected to show through the weekend. This swell is much smaller and more northerly than the last two. A new northerly swell is expected to fill in throughout the day on Sunday as well.
A modest trade swell will continue for north and east exposures.
A small to moderate south swell associated with a recent batch of gales over the Tasman Sea is expected to fade through the weekend.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
