If you love Wailuku, you’ll likely love the monthly First Friday block party event in Wailuku Town, taking place this Friday, February 4, 2011.  Celebrate Valentine’s Day early with a host of food, entertainment and special events for strolling patrons.

There’s also a first of its kind, I love Wailuku video contest.  Entries are being accepted for 2-3 minutes videos, with winners to be announced during the subsequent Wailuku First Friday on March 4, 2011.

Featured entertainment in February includes Live music with Cornerhouse at the Maui Thing Stage, Olahou at the Native Intelligence Stage, the Pam Peterson band at Wailuku Banyan Tree Park, and Gene and Shea Argel at Cafe O Lei.

The event also includes food for purchase, in house artisans, art classes at the Phil Sabado photo gallery, and art for sale to benefit the Baldwin High School Art Department.

New this month is a wine tasting event at Cafe O Lei, and the kick-off of one-act plays at the ‘Iao Theater’s Maui Fringe Festival.
