Swell Fading Today, Large XL Swell Builds

A High Surf Advisory is posted for the north side of Maui through 6 a.m. Thursday. A High Surf Warning is expected to pop up for the next swell building this afternoon.

Maui Surf Forecast
North: One swell fades as another builds. Wave heights of overhead to double overhead + through the morning, picking up to triple overhead + in the late afternoon and evening.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today. Spots catching the wrap will be bigger.
South: Surf is ankle/knee high today.
Our current north-northwest swell is expected to continue fading over the next few days. Overlapping northwest / north swells are forecast to build Thursday, peak late Thursday and early Friday, then fade into the weekend. Another XL swell is expected Monday the 14th.
Nothing significant is expected out of the SPAC for the foreseeable future.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
