A High Surf Warning is posted for the north and west shores of Molokai and the north shore of Maui through 6 a.m. Tuesday.

A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all island waters through 6 p.m. Tuesday.

North: Wave heights of overhead to double overhead are expected today at the standout spots. Some outer reefs could get up to triple overhead on the faces early in the day. Swell fading through the day.

West: Surf is ankle/knee high today. Spots catching the wrap will be bigger.

South: Surf is ankle/knee high today.

screen-shot-2016-11-14-at-8-38-13-pmOur current northwest swell is fading today. Spots from Ho’okipa westward will be blocked largely by Molokai. A reinforcement swell is expected for the 16th. Thursday night into Friday morning another swell out of the north-northwest is expected to build and peak late Friday.

Nothing significant is expected out of the SPAC for the foreseeable future.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
