REACH Volleyball Tournament in Lahaina, Dec. 10
ʻOhana Health Plan is sponsoring the ʻOhana Health Plan R.E.A.C.H. Maui Middle School Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at the Lahaina Civic Center.
The event is expected to draw the participation of more than 250 players representing all eight middle schools in the Maui district.
The daylong tournament starts at 8 a.m. HST, and continues throughout the day.
REACH, which stands for Resources for Enrichment, Athletics, Culture and Health, is an initiative of the Office of Lt. Governor Shan S. Tsutsui. It was created in collaboration with the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education and the Hawaiʻi State Department of Human Services’ Office of Youth Services.
REACH provides an organizational framework and funding base for afterschool programs for middle school students statewide.
Since its launch in 2013, REACH has awarded $2.25 million to 39 public middle and intermediate schools to help schools provide a safe learning environment for students after school.
