9th Maui Oceanfront Marathon, Jan. 15

The 9th Maui Oceanfront Marathon will take place during the Martin Luther King Weekend on Sunday Jan. 15, 2017.

The event, hosted by Run Maui, starts in Wailea, and continues along the oceanfront to Kamehameha Iki Park near the Banyan Tree in Old Lahaina Town.

In addition to the 26.2 mile run, there will also be: a Half Marathon starting in Lahaina; a 15k from Papalaua Beach; a 10K from Kamehameha Iki Park; and a 5k from Lone Pine, all finishing at Kamehameha Iki Park.

There’s also a half hour head start Marathon Walk.

The Maui Oceanfront Marathon is community event benefiting local school teams, clubs, and Maui non-profit groups that help put on the event.
