It’s that time of year again when some of the world’s best golfers flock to the slopes of the West Maui mountains for one of the most elite competitions in the nation.

Maui’s Kapalua Plantation Course is home to the PGA’s SBS Tournament of Champions, which kicked off January 4th. While the island is home to several 18-hole masterpieces that span from lush mountain slopes to tropical coastal waters, the Plantation Course is undoubtedly one of Maui’s best courses.

With sweeping views unlike any other Hawaiʻi golf course, players gaze across picturesque landscapes that span from Molokaʻi to the West Maui mountains. The world-class course’s breathtaking vistas can make it difficult to focus on the shot — even for the professionals.

If you’re an avid golfer, living in Kapalua next to the famed Plantation course is heaven. As some of the biggest golf stars make their way to Maui for the PGA tournament, you can sit back and relax in this stunning home — right across from the green. The sound of waves can be heard from the front door of this exquisite Plantation Estates home, which has a unique vantage point between the iconic golf course and the Pacific Ocean.

Stroll through the sliding glass doors in the living area to an infinity edge pool, where you can whale watch from the lānai. A short walk away, you can watch some of the world’s top ranked golfers give it their best in one of the country’s most prestigious golf tournaments.

With star players like Jason Dufner and Rod Rampling qualified to compete in the tournament, you’ll want to be living close by for the opening hole — a massive par-4. Located minutes from the fairway, this Pineapple Hill home offers breathtaking sunsets, as well as furnishings including Italian Pavio stone flooring, cherry hardwood floors, custom cabinets granite and quartz counter tops.

Close to the Kapalua clubhouse, this estate is perfectly situated to enjoy a day on green. If you’re lucky enough to make it to the tournament, you can watch some of the competitors reach the 4-par 17th and 5-par 18th holes, both of which overlook sweeping views of Maui’s northwest shore. Gentle trade winds cool spectators to a comfortable temperature, but offer golfers challenges on the course.
