New Orleans-Style Food at MHOK Mardi Gras Masquerade

The longest-running Montessori school on the South side is celebrating more than a quarter-century of guiding Maui’s young people. Montessori Hale O Keiki (MHOK) in Kīhei invites you to join in the Mardi Gras Masquerade, happening on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Grand Wailea Resort & Spa.

The 9th annual benefit gala begins at 5 p.m. and will feature New Orleans-inspired food crafted by Grand Wailea Executive Chef Ryan Urig, live entertainment, and dancing courtesy of DJ Dan Weisman. There will also be live and silent auctions, including a mobile bidding auction platform, which allows for bids via smartphone.

Montessori Hale O Keiki’s largest fundraiser of the year is open to the public and will support its tuition assistance program, which helps 40% of the school’s families. Funds will also go toward campus growth efforts.

“The support of Maui’s community means that our school ‘ohana extends beyond our school and it shows that our community cares about supporting quality education for Maui’s keiki,” explains MHOK’s Head of School Jessica Thompson. “The community is also supporting our unique outreach programs, such as our Marine and Environmental Stewardship program, where students are learning real-world tools to protect and care for our island home.”
