Plan Your Route: Maui Lane Closures for March 25-31

The state Department of Transportation will conduct roadwork in Kula and Waiehu on Maui this week, resulting in alternating lane closures.

On the Kula Highway, alternating lane closures will take place between Makaena Place and the Haleakalā Highway today, March 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for underground utility work.  The work also involves the closure of the right turn pocket of northbound Kula Highway from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.; and the right turn pocket for eastbound Old Haleakalā Highway turning onto Kula Highway beteen 12:30 and 3:30 p.m.

In Central Maui, crews will implement alternating lane closures on Waiehu Beach Road tonight through Friday morning between 6 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. nightly for sewer pipe installations.

All work is weather permitting and schedules may be changed without further notice. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the area and plan alternate routes accordingly.
