No Advisories After 3.1 Hawaiʻi Island Quake

There were no immediate threats following a preliminary magnitude 3.1 earthquake reported at 4:11 a.m. (HST) on Saturday, April 8, 2017 near the Honaunau-Napoopoo region of the Big Island of Hawaiʻi.
The USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reports that the quake occurred at a depth of 1 mile and was located:
16 miles E of Honaunau-Napoopoo, Hawaiʻi
16 miles E of Captain Cook, Hawaiʻi
18 miles E of Kealakekua, Hawaiʻi
40 miles WSW of Hilo, Hawaiʻi
189 miles SE of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi
