QKC Honors US Military, May 20 Outreach

Queen Ka’ahumanu Center dedicates the month of May in support of the US Military.

In honor and support of US Military personnel, selected Queen Kaʻahumanu Center merchants will offer special discounts, promotions and/or added value to all active military personnel with valid military identification through May 31, 2017. (A list of participating merchants is available online and at the QKC Guest Services desk).

Also, on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., military branches and veteran organizations will be on hand for outreach and education.

The festivities will include entertainment, crafts and balloons for the keiki. In addition, Queen Kaʻahumanu Center, in conjunction with Hallmark Cards, will be sending mahalo cards and care packages to each of the US Military Branches – Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard.

The public is invited to write words of thanks on Giant Gratitude Cards displayed throughout the month at QKC Guest Services or donate individual gratitude cards at Hallmark Cards. The public is also encouraged to bring care package items such as commercially prepared Hawaiʻi-style snacks, spam, jerky and candy that may be dropped at the QKC Gratitude Box.
