Maui Man Arrested: Suspected of Supplying Minors with Marijuana
A Kīhei man accused of supplying minors at Mākena State Park with marijuana was arrested on drug charges on Monday.
Francis Oliveto, 57, was charged with first degree promotion of a detrimental drug, third degree promotion of a dangerous drug and third degree promotion of a harmful drug. His bail was set at $20,000.
Police say officers with the department’s Juvenile Crime Prevention Division received information that Oliveto was allegedly supplying minors at Mākena State Park with marijuana, marijuana concentrate and marijuana edibles.
On Monday, July 17, 2017 at about 8:20 a.m., officers from the Juvenile Crime Prevention Division, Vice Division and a special agent from Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant at Oliveto’s Kīhei residence.
During the search, police say authorities recovered marijuana, BHO, acid and other drug paraphernalia associated with the distribution of narcotics.
Police say department personnel will continue efforts to address criminal activity at Mākena State Park.
