Slippery Road Results in Traffic Woes in Makawao

Motorists are advised of a temporary road blockage on Waiahiwi Road in Makawao.
At around 8 a.m. we received reports that a truck with a tractor in tow was unable to advance up the slippery hill, which was wet from earlier rains.
Approaching motorists report that they were unable to advance past the stranded vehicles.

Motorists can expect delays and are advised to use an alternate route until the area is cleared.
