Punana Leo O Maui hosted it’s annual fundraising event, Ho’omau 2011, to raise money for the Hawaiian immersion preschool program. The school first opened its doors on November 10, 1987.
Ho’omau 2011, presented by Na Leo Pulama O Maui featured a full day of entertainment at the Keopuolani Park Amphitheater in Kahului. Musical guests included Weldon Kekauoha, Na Palapalai, Napua Makua & Halau Na Lei Kaumaka O Uka, and more.
The theme of this year’s event centered around the ‘Olelo No’eau, “‘Ike ‘ia no ka loea i ke kahu,” which translates to “An expert is recognized by the alter he builds.”
