State Water Commission to Hold Maui Meeting on Amended Stream Flow, June 6

The Commission on Water Resource Management will hold an informational meeting to update the community and address questions on the implementation of amended interim instream flow standards (IIFS) for the surface water hydrological units of Ukumehame, Olowalu, Kaua‘ula on the island of Maui.

The meeting is scheduled as follows:

June 6, 2018 (Wednesday) Lahainaluna Intermediate School cafeteria from 6 to 8 p.m. at 871 Lahainaluna Rd., in Lahaina.

The informational meeting is being conducted in accordance with the amended IIFS approved by the Commission at its March 20, 2018 meeting. This meeting will include an agency overview, a review of the amended IIFS, a monitoring plan and implementation and evaluation of the IIFS, consistent with Part VI (Instream Uses of Water) of the State Water Code, Chapter 174C, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes and Title 13, Chapter 169 (Protection of Instream Uses of Water), Hawai‘i Administrative Rules.
