Four Arrests in Kamuela Drug Bust

Hawaiʻi Island police arrested four individuals after executing a search warrant at a home in Kamuela on Wednesday morning, July 11, 2018.

Area II Vice officers and Special Enforcement Unit officers executed the warrant at around 8 a.m. at a home off of Puʻu Pohu Place.

While there, officers recovered 51 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, nine grams of marijuana, a digital scale, empty zip-packets and a loaded 40 caliber pistol.

As a result, officers arrested the following individuals:

• Stacey Veincent, 42, of Kamuela was charged for first degree promotion of a dangerous drug, possession of prohibited weapons, two counts of ownership/possession prohibited and possession of a firearm with intent to facilitate the commission of a felony. He was also arrested and charged for two $20,000 bench warrants.
• Mokihana Veincent (Luis), 24, of Kamuela was charged for first degree promotion of a dangerous drug, registration of a firearm, possession of prohibited weapons and possession of a firearm with intent to facilitate the commission of a felony.
• Larry Luis, 56, of Puna was arrested for third degree promotion of a detrimental drug and was released pending further investigation.
• Jamie Jason,35, of Puna was arrested for third degree promotion of a dangerous drug and was released pending further investigation.

After conferring with prosecutors, Stacey Veincent and Mokihana Veincent were charged for their offenses. Their bail was set at $200,000 and $22,500, respectively.
