All Maui County Landfills Open Today

Maui County plans to open all landfills (Central Maui Landfill, Hāna Landfill, Molokaʻi Landfill and Lānaʻi Landfill) on Saturday (8/25/18), pending a morning assessment of the individual sites to ensure no overnight damage was sustained.  Please note that individual landfills will follow normal closure procedures if the weather worsens or unsafe site conditions exist throughout the day.

For Molokaʻi Landfill, due to insufficient manpower, the Landfill will close at 1 p.m.The closure is necessary for the department to ensure safe operations and meet the minimum State Department of Health operating requirements of the County’s solid waste permit.  The Solid Waste Division apologizes for the inconvenience.
