Lineage opened at The Shops at Wailea on October 15, 2018.  And mere weeks later, it’s already geared up to support the community during Restaurant Week Wailea!

From Sunday, Nov. 4 to Saturday, Nov. 10, diners can enjoy impressive three-course, prix-fixe menus between $29 and $59 per person (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity) at 20 Wailea establishments.

Chef Sheldon Simeon says his offerings are “definitely the best moments from the menu.” Lineage prides itself on giving diners a unique snapshot of local food, and paying tribute to Simeon’s own family recipes.

Here are the options there during Restaurant Week Wailea, for $49 per person:

Boiled Peanuts (oxtail soup spice) or Pickles (chayote & garlic) or Atara (green papaya & carrot)

Oyster Shooter (daikon, shoyu, chili pepper) or Cone Sushi (aburage, salmon skin, rice, ikura)

Veg & Dip (Braddah Russel’s vegetables, shoyu mayo) or Bottom of the Plate Lunch (shaved cabbage, kalbi dressing, mac salad mayo, smoked beef fat)

Hoppin Juan’s (garlic rice, scarlet runners, oxtail, marungay) or Hekka (long rice, tofu, mushroom, sweet dashi)

Cold Ginger Chicken (green onion pesto, salted black bean, chili oil) or Squid Lu’au (taro leaf, charred he’e, coconut candy) or Katsu Curry (fried cauliflower, golden curry, brown rice, furikaki) or Pork n Peas (Simeon Family Recipe)

“Our culinary landscape is so amazing,” Simeon adds, “and there are so many snapshot moments that not everyone gets to experience as far as guests, and we’re putting a light on those moments.”

Get the details on Lineage in our article, Talking Story with Chef Sheldon Simeon.  It’s the second solo venture and first full-service concept for Top Chef finalist and fan favorite Simeon, who also owns Tin Roof Maui in Kahului and takes part in many community events.  I asked him how he juggles it all!

“It comes with a strong support team,” he says. “I have an amazing wife and amazing family that’s totally understanding, then the team behind us; these guys have come in wholeheartedly and so passionately about everything!”

Visit Open Table for reservations with participating restaurants (*).  Restaurant Week Wailea is proudly supporting the Maui Food Bank for the ninth year in a row.

“As part of the resort’s community giving, all participating restaurants will make a contribution to the Maui Food Bank for every prix-fixe entrée sold during Restaurant Week Wailea,” says Bud Pikrone, General Manager of Wailea Community Association.  “Timing is ideal as the Holidays approach and Restaurant Week Wailea once again looks forward to helping the Maui Food Bank during this time of need.”

The prix-fixe menus are not valid with any other discount, coupons or promotion being offered, and diners should contact each restaurant directly for reservations, which are strongly recommended.
