Queen Ka’ahumanu Center Hosts Maui ‘Ukulele Guild Exhibition
Queen Ka’ahumanu Center will host the Maui ‘Ukulele Guild Exhibition 11th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Maui ‘Ukulele Guild is a small group of Maui ‘ukulele enthusiasts that are committed to the education, promotion and preservation of ‘ukulele building and playing. For years they have shared their knowledge and experience with both each other and the community.
The event features an exceptional lineup of ‘ukulele entertainment including 808 Uke Jams, Hula Hui ‘O Kapuonahala, Kalama Intermediate School ‘Ukulele Band, Kamehameha ‘Ukulele Band, Maui ‘Ukulele Jazz Trio, Maui ‘Ukulele Pops Band, Pennies from Heaven and the South Maui Strummers. There will also be educational booths and ‘ukulele door prize giveaways. Maui’s own mistress of ceremonies, Kathy Collins, will bring her energy and love of ‘ukulele to the stage for this annual event.

The public is invited to bring their own ‘ukulele. The guild is glad to provide helpful tips on ‘ukulele playing and preservation to maximum life and performance.
