Kauha‘aha‘a Named USC Assistant Football Coach

Former HP Baldwin High School coach Chad Kauha’aha’a has been named USC assistant football coach, according to a university announcement on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018.

In his new capacity, the 45-year-old Kauha’aha’a will reportedly handle the defensive line.

According to the announcement, Kauha’aha’a previously coached at: Boise State in 2018, Oregon State from 2015 to 2017, Wisconsin from 2013 to 2014, Utah from 2011 to 2012, Utah State from 2009 to 2010 and Weber State for three years starting in 2005.

Prior to his move to the mainland, Kauha’aha’a served as head coach at Maui’s Baldwin High from 2002 to 2004.

After high school, Kauha’aha’a played defensive line for Utah in the 90’s where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
