Maui Electric to Replace Lono Avenue Pole, Feb. 7

Maui Electric will be upgrading a utility pole along Lono Avenue fronting the At Home Animal Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 starting at 8 p.m.

Company representatives say the work is part of a continued effort to improve the island’s electrical system for more reliable and resilient service.

Safe completion of the work will require a one lane road closure along Lono Avenue between Third Street and Vevau Street.

Motorists should expect traffic delays in this area during the work period. Electrical service in the immediate area will also be impacted and affected customers have been notified.
