The Ebb & Flow ensemble—Ignace Jang on violin, Sun Chan Chang on cello and Robert Pollock on piano—celebrates its 20th year with a concert at the MACC this Sunday, March 3, 2019, at 3 p.m.

The ensemble will feature music that furthers musical cultural exchange with South Korea. The concert will feature recent American works as well as works by composers from Korea, including Isang Yun, Sun Young Park and Eugene Lee, and a work by Dr. Park commissioned by Ebb & Flow Arts.

Robert Pollock will perform on piano at the Ebb & Flow 20th anniversary concert. PC: MACC.

Ignace Jang will perform on violin at Ebb & Flow’s 20th anniversary concert. PC: MACC.

There will also be film features throughout the performance:

  • Video by Peter Swanzy to accompany his piano composition, Stars, inspired by a Korean poem.
  • A preview of Emmy Award-winning Tom Vendetti’s most recent trek to sacred Tibet, with footage of a previous interview with the Dalai Lama on the topics of China, the significance of Mount Kailash and happiness.
  • Gary Greenberg’s Florotica (edited by Tom Vendetti, narrated by Stacy Keach, screenplay by Rick Chatenever, and music by Keola Beamer) with CinemAroma.

Tickets are $30 and available at the MACC box office during opening hours, by phone at (808) 242-SHOW or online.
