Maui Humane Society Hosts Spring Slumber Party

The Maui Humane Society holds its first annual Spring Fling Slumber Party Fundraising event on Saturday, March 16, 2019.

Fourteen participants will be staying overnight in a kennel with an MHS shelter dog to help create awareness about what it’s like for animals to be in a shelter and what goes into their care, and hopefully, even get a few of the dogs adopted.

Each participant is raising a minimum of $1,500 and donations are also being accepted online or by calling (808) 877-3680 ext. 218. Business sponsorships for the event are also welcome.

The event is not open to the public, but will be streaming LIVE on the Maui Humane Society Facebook page from 6 to 10 p.m.

“We are so excited about this new event and we appreciate our supporters willingness to help raise much needed funds as well as awareness for our shelter animals by staying in a kennel overnight,” said Jerleen Bryant, CEO, Maui Humane Society. “It fills our hearts to know how many people in the community care for our homeless animals and want to support the work that we are doing at the Maui Humane Society.”
