The Maui Historical Society is hosting a benefit concert on Saturday, April 20, 2019 called “Moonlight Mele with George Kahumoku, Jr. & Friends” from 5 to 8 p.m.

The fee for this event is $5 per person and children 12 and under get in free.

This event will feature Hawaiian music by the University of Hawaiʻi, Maui College, Institute of Hawaiian Music with UHMC instructor Keola Donaghy and noted Hawaiian entertainer and Hawaiian music mentor, George Kahumoku, Jr.

The event will be held on the grounds of Hale Hōʻikeʻike at the Bailey House in Wailuku at 2375-A Main Street, on property owned by the Maui Historical Society. The benefit concert is part of a concert series established by George Kahumoku, Jr. over five years ago; and directly and completely benefits the Maui Historical Society.

The purpose of the concert series is to promote, preserve and perpetuate Hawaiian music and to give Maui’s talented musicians a platform to share their music, their stories and to entertain visitors and locals alike.
