Molokaʻi General Hospital Kūlia Grant Expands Services

Molokaʻi General Hospital’s Wound Care Clinic has been awarded a $41,150 grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to support the Expansion of Services in the Wound Care Clinic.

The purpose of the project is to expand and improve the services that are provided at Molokaʻi General Hospital’s Wound Care Clinic by providing non-invasive upper and lower extremity vascular assessments.

This will allow people on Molokaʻi to receive a currently unavailable service, which is important in assessing and determining the best treatment plan for a wound. The grant will allow for the wound care clinic to purchase equipment to perform this procedure.

Essentially, the expansion would prevent delay in care and an expensive trip off-island to have the vascular assessment performed on Oʻahu.

MGH strives to be a healthcare leader on Molokaʻi and the expansion of services through this grant will allow us to improve the quality of wound care services we can deliver to those in our community,” said Brianne Childs.
