The 50th anniversary celebration will be part of the Hyatt Regency Maui’s nightly Tour of the Stars activity.

The award-winning activity allows guests to experience Maui’s crystal-clear skies with a night of stargazing and rooftop astronomy program during an 8 and 9 p.m. nightly show, with a special romance show at 10 p.m. that consists of sparkling wine and chocolate strawberries. This activity has earned the resort the title of World’s Top Hotel for Stargazing.

For the Apollo 11 Golden Anniversary Celebration, Hyatt Regency Maui will present a 10-minute video on a big screen TV of the launch and landing of Apollo 11 for each of the nightly shows. Additionally, each guest at the shows will be offered the resort’s special “Moon Cookies” (half chocolate, half vanilla) and special NASA Moon Landing handouts.

One family from each night will win a genuine lunar meteorite, an actual certified piece of the moon that landed as a meteorite in Northwest Africa.

The winners will be selected by a random drawing based on their position of the Tour of the Stars manifest generated by Expedia.
